Welcome to Winchester Skating Club

Congratulations to Leah Anne Smith who has achieved her Gold Level in Dance.  This is Leah Anne's 2nd Gold Level achievement.  She also has her Gold Level in Skills.  In our lobby there are plaques for any skater receiving a Gold Level achievement.  Congratulations again Leah Anne, we know that you have worked very hard.

The Winchester CanSkate Competition was held on Saturday, March 21st.   Many thanks to all parents who volunteered their time for this event.  For many of our skaters this was their very first competition!  We are very proud of all of our skaters.  Results have been posted under the Competitions and Test Days heading.  Please take a moment and check out our results.  We have had a very FUN and successful year.

4 of our skaters participated in the Gloucester Spring Skate held on April 3rd - 5th.  Their results are posted.  Test day results for  Saturday, March 7th. have been posted.   Look for all test day and competitions results under the tab Competitions and Test Days.   Congratulations to our skaters!  Many of our tiny tots and canskaters have already graduated to their next level as well!  We are a club to keep your eye on!    Congratulations to Ben Weber who is our Tiny Tots for the month of March  Canskater of the month goes to Olivia Drouin and our Program Assistant for March is Josie Vandarlaan.

We are a Skate Canada accredited club based in Winchester, Ontario. We are part of Area 4 of the Eastern Ontario Section. The Winchester Skating club has been operating since 1974.  We hope you enjoy the 2008-2009 skating season.

This web site is intended to be a focal point for our members - a place where they can quickly get pertinent information about the club and its activities. It will also give the general public a glimpse into the organization and activities that go into operating a successful skating club.  We welcome back our "Cutting Edge" newsletter.  You can download a copy by going to "Newsletter" from the dropdown menu under the Home tab.

Peanut Allergies:  Some skaters in our club have been indentified as having a severe peanut allergy.  WSC would like to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction and are asking our members to only bring peanut free skacks to the rink during Tiny Tots/Canskate time on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Keep track of our skaters and how they do in competition and on test day!  You will find results under "Skaters Wall of Fame", under the competition and test day tabs they become available.
